ESCAPE GAMBLERS AND THE G.A. COMBO BOOK
The yellow "combo book" is read at most G.A. meetings. For many newcomers, it provides a first introduction to the G.A. program. However, when an Escape Gambler attends G.A. for the first time, especially if he/she does not understand how his/her experience differs from that of an Action Gambler, he/she may not identify with the description of the "dream world" of the compulsive gambler (on Pages 10 & 11). He/she may begin to question whether they belong there. They most certainly do! The 12-step program of G.A. is VITAL for Escape amd Action Gamblers alike to sustain long term abstinence and maintain recovery from compulsive gambling addiction.
