A NOTE ABOUT ESCAPE GAMBLERS AND THE G.A. COMBO BOOK

The yellow "combo book" is read at most G.A. meetings. For many newcomers, it may provide their first introduction to the program. However, when an Escape Gambler attends G.A. for the first time, especially without any understanding of how their experience differs from that of an Action Gambler, they may not identify with the description of the "dream world" of the compulsive gambler (pages 10 & 11) and may wonder if they are in the right place. They most certainly ARE in the right place!

It is the opinion of the Arizona Council that the 12-step program of G.A. is VITAL if one is to sustain long term abstinence and recovery from compulsive gambling.
