Ms. Joanna Franklin, M.S., C.A.C. C.C.G.C.

Joanna Franklin completed her undergraduate degree in psychology and her graduate degree in adult counseling at John Hopkins University. While now in private practice in Catonsville, Maryland, she has worked in the addictions field for over 22 years and held the position of Director for the Washington Center for Mental Health. Joanna has spent the last 16 years working with gamblers and their family members. She has published numerous articles and presented both nationally and internationally on the topic of gambling. Other memberships include NAADAC and the International Assoc. of Group Psychotherapists.

Mr. Michael C. Brubaker, CSAC, CCGC

Mr. Brubaker is Co-author of the famous book, "Deadly Odds", on gambling addiction, and has released a 50-Minute Video "Compulsive Gambling & Recovery" that explores the attitudes, feelings, and behaviors of compulsive gamblers. He has worked extensively as both an administrator and coordinator of inpatient and outpatient treatment centers. He is highly regarded as an intervention specialist, facilitator, media representative and an international presenter of lectures on Alcoholism and Gambling. Most popular of Mike's lectures include "Deadly Odds", "Compulsive Gambling", "The Secret Disease", "Twelve Steps of Recovery", When is Enough, Enough", and Eight Major Areas of Your Life Affected by Chemicals." His exuberant speaking style and refreshing humor make for a most enjoyable and informative presentation.
